Wai Kaha Pounamu has expanded and evolved over the years, from one man’s exploration of his passion of Pounamu, Whakairo and Te Ao Māori, to opening a shop & carving studio. Currently Wai Kaha Pounamu has gone from a small workshop and modest store, to being able to hold Wānanga (10+ people) as well as one on one carve your own sessions. The team at Wai Kaha Pounamu have a vast range of skills, and knowledge around Pounamu, bone, as well as many types of local stone.
